Mankameshwar Temple is one of the oldest and most venerated Shiva temples in Lucknow, located on the banks of the Gomti River. The name Mankameshwar means 'Lord who fulfills wishes.' The temple is believed to have been established in ancient times, with the current structure rebuilt during the Mughal and British periods. The Shiva Lingam here is naturally formed (Swayambhu) and partially submerged in water. The temple is especially crowded during Maha Shivaratri and Shravan month.
