Start climbing the 437 carved rock-cut steps from the base of the ancient rock formation. The path passes through cave temples and carved passages.
At the midway point, visit the Thayumanaswamy (Shiva) Temple — a significant cave temple with rock-cut architecture dating to the Pallava period.
Continue climbing to the summit (83 meters high) to reach the Ucchi Pillayar (Ganesh) Temple. Have darshan of the small but powerful Ganesh idol.
