Enter through the impressive 59-meter south gopuram (Rajagopuram), one of the tallest in India. Proceed through the vast outer prakaram.
Visit the ancient mango tree (Ekamra tree) said to be 3,500 years old. Each of its four branches is believed to bear fruits of different tastes, representing the four Vedas.
Enter the main sanctum for darshan of the Prithvi Lingam (Earth Lingam), the Pancha Bhoota Stalam element. The lingam is made of sand/earth.
Visit the separate shrine of Goddess Elavarkuzhali (Kamakshi) within the complex.
Walk through the grand thousand-pillar mandapam and the various shrines around the five prakarams before exiting.
