Change into traditional attire at the changing rooms near the entrance. Men must be bare-chested wearing only mundu. Deposit electronics and footwear at the counter. Only Hindus are permitted inside.
Join the free darshan queue or purchase special darshan tickets (Rs 25-100) for quicker access. VIP darshan is also available. Morning is less crowded.
The presiding deity Lord Padmanabha (Vishnu) reclines on Anantha (serpent) and can be viewed through three doors — head, navel (with lotus and Brahma), and feet. Take darshan at all three doorways.
Visit the shrines of Lord Narasimha and Lord Krishna within the temple complex. Circumambulate the main temple in a clockwise direction.
Collect prasadam (Appam and Aravana) from the distribution counter. Visit the temple tank (Padma Theertham) before exiting.
