Mannarasala Sree Nagaraja Temple in Alappuzha is the most famous serpent temple in Kerala, set deep in a sacred grove with thousands of Nagaraja idols. It is unique as the main priest is always a woman (Amma) from the Mannarasala family. Devotees pray for fertility and childbirth.
