Amarnath: The Cave of the Ice Shivling

Deep in the Kashmir Himalayas, at nearly 4,000 meters above sea level, inside a cave that only becomes accessible for a few weeks each year, a pillar of ice forms naturally from dripping water. It grows and shrinks with the moon's phases — waxing during the bright fortnight, waning during the dark.
